The Intel® Fortran Compiler can generate code for IA-32, Intel® 64, and Intel® Many Integrated Core Architecture (Intel® MIC Architecture) applications on Intel®-based Linux* system. IA-32 architecture applications (32-bit) can run on all Intel®-based Linux systems. Intel® 64 architecture applications can run only on Intel® 64 architecture-based Linux systems. You can use the compiler on the command line.

The information in this document applies to all supported architectures and all operating systems, unless otherwise specified. For complete information on supported architectures, see the Release Notes.

Some information that applies to Intel® 64 architecture may also apply to Intel® Many Integrated Core Architecture (Intel® MIC Architecture).

Optimization Notice

Intel's compilers may or may not optimize to the same degree for non-Intel microprocessors for optimizations that are not unique to Intel microprocessors. These optimizations include SSE2, SSE3, and SSSE3 instruction sets and other optimizations. Intel does not guarantee the availability, functionality, or effectiveness of any optimization on microprocessors not manufactured by Intel. Microprocessor-dependent optimizations in this product are intended for use with Intel microprocessors. Certain optimizations not specific to Intel microarchitecture are reserved for Intel microprocessors. Please refer to the applicable product User and Reference Guides for more information regarding the specific instruction sets covered by this notice.
